Male Abdomen Liposuction – Before and After Photos

Men often request liposuction for their abdomen.

Liposuction to the male abdomen.

Most of the time that is appropriate but for men with a so called “beer pot” where the abdomen is very distended but hard, this is due to fat around the abdominal organs and this type of tummy is not suitable for liposuction.

The love handles have been treated with liposculpture at Palm Clinic which gives the male body a more chiselled athletic look.

If you can squeeze the fat between your fingers you should be suitable for liposuction.  If there is a great deal of loose skin and a large fold over the pubic area a “tummy tuck” or abdominoplasty may be a better option.

FAQ

Who is a candidiate for abdomen liposuction?

Most people with excess abdominal fat can benefit from this procedure. The amount of fat that can be removed depends on the volume present to start with, a general approximation would be about 70% of the volume present. Thus your end result will be much smaller.

Is anyone not a good candidate?
People with hernias over the areas to be treated will need to have these repaired before the procedure. Some people (mostly men) have a large proportion of the abdominal fat within the abdomen itself (behind the muscles) and not in front. They are less suitable for liposuction, but still may benefit to some extent. People with a very large overhang or pannus may do better with a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty).
Are there any scars or changes to sensation?

There are approximately 5 access holes each are 5mm wide. Some are hidden at the lower margin of the abdomen and in the tummy button. They are sutured after the procedure and essentially fade after a couple of weeks.

What support garments are required?

A special lycra compressive garment is used for 3-4 weeks after the procedure.

How long does the procedure take?

Most abdominal liposuction procedures take approximately 90 minutes to complete but you will need to with us for around 5 hours on the day of liposuction.

How much time will I need off?

In general you should plan on taking 2-3 days off work or slightly longer if your work is active. It would be about 3-4 weeks before normal gym activities or jogging should be restarted.

And the cost?
The cost of this procedure varies according to the areas that require treatment and whether the area is treated alone or in conjunction with other areas. (This is most common.)
