Juvederm is the market leading hyaluronic acid dermal filler for wrinkles and lines, lip enhancement and volume replacement.

Juvederm from Allergan is available for wrinkles and lines, lip enhancement and facial volume replacement. It differs in consistency to other hyaluronic acid dermal fillers – it is softer and tends to spread more uniformly in and under the skin for very natural results.

Juvederm comes in four forms:

Juvederm Refine for very fine lines.
Juvederm Ultra for fine lines and wrinkles particularly around the eyes and smile lines around the mouth.
Juvederm Ultra Plus for filling folds like the area between nose and mouth.
Juvederm Voluma which is the thickest product and is used for large area volume replacement such as the cheekbones, chin and cheeks to produce a liquid facelift. Voluma used in this way recreates youthful fullness to the face by providing support for the skin. This technique is sometimes referred to as the liquid facelift or volumising. JUVÉDERM ULTRA® & JUVÉDERM ULTRA PLUS® injectable gels are Prescription Medicines containing 24 mg/mL cross linked hyaluronic acid. They are used for the filling of medium size and deep facial wrinkles by injection into the skin and for creating definition and volume in the lips. They should be administered only by trained medical professionals. Talk to your specialist about the benefits/risks of this procedure in appearance medicine. Cautions: Use in an area that has been treated with another dermal filler. People with autoimmune disease; or who are pregnant, breastfeeding, age under 18; or have an increased susceptibility to keloid formation and hypertrophic scarring.Possible Side Effects: Injection site inflammatory reactions (redness/swelling/itching/pain on pressure); induration or nodules; discolouration; weak filling effect. Cautions: Use in an area that has been treated with another dermal filler. People who have autoimmune disease; severe multiple allergies; a history of anaphylactic shock; acute rheumatic fever with heart complications; streptococcal disease; undergoing anti-coagulant treatment; in combination with drugs that reduce or inhibit hepatic metabolism.Possible Side Effects: Injection site inflammatory reactions (redness, swelling) which may be associated with itching and/or pain on pressure, bruising, indurations or nodules, discolouration, weak filling effects, abscess formation, granuloma, hypersensitivity.
