Liquid Facelift Auckland NZ

A liquid facelift is a contemporary cosmetic procedure that uses dermal fillers to enhance facial anatomy and reduce the visible signs of ageing, while being gentler than a traditional facelift. Also known as a ‘non-surgical facelift’, a liquid facelift is an effective treatment for people concerned with sagging or excess skin, hollows in the face, or a general loss of fullness and structure.

What Is A Liquid Facelift

A liquid facelift with dermal fillers is a safe and effective way to restore volume and structure to the face, which tends to naturally decline as we age. It is performed by injecting dermal fillers into the areas of the face where fat and subcutaneous tissue has been lost.

It is an effective way to address changes that occur in facial anatomy as we age such as fine lines, sagging or excess skin, a loss of fat around the eyes, and the appearance of hollows where the face once had youthful curves.

At Palm Clinic in Auckland, our expert cosmetic doctors use the best quality hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm Voluma, Juvederm Volux and Juvederm Ultra Plus. These dermal fillers are constructed utilising a natural carbohydrate that is already present in your body but which decreases with age.

Dermal fillers are used in this procedure without the need for surgery or general anaesthetic.

Instead of pulling skin tighter (as in traditional facelifts), volumising simply helps to restore the fullness your skin used to have. This is why it looks so natural and why we call it the “liquid facelift”.

Volumising is achieved by injecting dermal fillers into the fat space in areas where fat has been lost.

Why Have A Liquid Facelift?

Liquid facelifts are suitable for people who are seeking to enhance their natural beauty and achieve a more youthful appearance.

The liquid facelift technique is increasingly popular with our clients in Auckland, NZ as it is a non-surgical procedure that delivers subtle yet highly flattering results without the need for invasive cosmetic procedures such as a full facelift or cosmetic surgery, which require general anaesthesia.

Your Palm Clinic doctor will consult with you about your desired results and may recommend additional facial rejuvenation treatments – such as a chemical peel or Botox® injections – to enhance your liquid facelift.

Using Liquid Facelifts For Natural-Looking Results

In New Zealand we prefer natural-looking results from our cosmetic procedures, and our Auckland-based cosmetic doctors are skilled at creating subtle transformations using dermal fillers.

Instead of pulling skin tight (as is done with traditional facelifts), liquid facelifts simply restore the fullness that the face used to have, which can make it look more natural than a surgical facelift. Older clients in particular can benefit greatly from this non-surgical procedure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who Benefits From a Liquid Facelift

A liquid facelift is ideal for those who feel their face is losing its youthful contours. As we age, we lose fat and tissue from beneath the skin of the face. Facial bones also shrink, especially after having teeth removed. This loss of underlying support means the skin can appear too big for the face. This is a common effect of ageing, which typically occurs from the age of 35 onwards.

You may notice:

  • Hollows appearing where the face once had youthful curves
  • Fat disappearing from under the eyes, leaving a tired appearance
  • Cheeks deflating and drooping, accentuating the nasolabial folds (creases running from the nose to the chin)
  • The skin and tissue may dip down beside the mouth resulting in a sad or grumpy look
  • Tissue can become heavy along the jawline resulting in jowls
What Does The Treatment Involve?

A liquid facelift is a simple, safe and non-invasive treatment. There is no need for general anaesthesia or fat harvesting from other areas of the body.

At Palm Clinic in Auckland we use hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm Voluma, Juvederm Volux and Juvederm Ultra Plus. Hyaluronic acid is made from a natural carbohydrate that is already present in the body, and that simply decreases with age.

This gel-like substance is injected deep under the skin, to the areas required.

When overdone, the effect is sometimes referred to as ‘pillow face’ or ‘pillow cheeks’. This is something we may see in the media and is a result of poor technique rather than the filler itself. At Palm Clinic, we have a ‘less is more’ approach to achieve a natural looking rejuvenation that is not overt.

A liquid facelift Auckland is a cost-effective alternative to surgery. We are happy to advise you on a personalised treatment plan that suits your needs and budget.

What Kind Of Results Are Expected?

At Palm Clinic, we always aim to achieve natural-looking results, and this is particularly easy with a liquid facelift. Your face will look rejuvenated, refreshed and more youthful.

For complete facial rejuvenation, some clients choose to combine a liquid facelift with fine line treatments. You can layer these treatments together over a couple of sessions.

A liquid facelift treatment lasts between 12-24 months, depending on the amount of dermal filler used.
