At Palm Clinic, our Dermapen® microneedling treatment works toward improved skin texture and a more radiant appearance. Book now to restore your skin’s beauty with personalised treatments delivered by cosmetic medicine experts.

Below we explain what Dermapen® is, why to choose it over other microneedling treatments, what to expect from your treatment including aftercare, and our recommended treatment packages.

What Is Dermapen® ?

Dermapen® is a medical grade microneedling device used for skin rejuvenation via collagen induction. It can be used on all skin tones and promotes improved skin texture and a more radiant appearance.

The Dermapen® creates thousands of channels in the skin using very fine disposable needles, creating a trauma response and bringing a flood of nutrients to the area, which forces collagen and elastin production.

Dermapen® treatment is a safe, highly effective therapy for skin refinement, enlarged pores, sun damage, uneven skin tone, fine lines, and pitted and pigmented acne scarring. It can also assist in reducing stubborn melasma and stretch marks on the body and work on lines across the upper lip.

Why Choose Dermapen® ?

Dermapen® skin needling is designed to glide gently across the skin’s surface without catching or pulling, allowing its ultrafine needles to penetrate even the most sensitive areas such as the nose, upper lip and eyelids.

Dermapen’s hyaluronic acid is used to ease the device across the skin while simultaneously hydrating and plumping, to assist in the healing process and ensure optimal results that address uneven skin tone for most skin types.

Personalised Dermapen® treatments delivered in our luxury clinic in Auckland, NZ are the perfect anti-ageing refresher for fine and thinning skin.

What To Expect From Your Treatment

Prior to your first treatment, your skin therapist will discuss Dermapen® microneedling in detail during a consultation, and advise on specific pre and post-care recommendations.

During your Dermapen® treatment, your skin will be cleansed and sanitised prior to microneedling. You will experience mild discomfort throughout the collagen induction process, followed by a heating sensation and some localised redness immediately afterwards.

After treatment we will apply a healing, cooling mask, followed by the leave-on aftercare ointment. The heat and discomfort usually dissipate after a couple of hours, but we recommend a quiet night to achieve the best results from your Dermapen® treatment.

Dermapen® Aftercare

Post-procedure, we recommend you avoid touching your face after treatment on the day of your Dermapen® therapy, allowing the post-care ointment to remain undisturbed.

It is essential to keep skin clean and free of makeup and avoid vigorous physical activity or heat. The following day, you may cleanse, moisturise, and apply sunscreen, but we advise you to not apply makeup until day three.

During the skin’s recovery period, you must use gentle, non-fragranced skincare to allow the treatment to continue working across your fine lines, sun damage, acne scarring, and stretch marks.

Our Gold Standard Treatment Package

For the best results, our experts recommend a course of at least three sessions combined with clinically performed glycolic acid peels to rejuvenate your face and enhance your natural beauty. However, Dermapen® can be used as a one-off for general maintenance or skin-boosting treatment, including across the upper lip.

Allow two weeks prior to any major events.

Dermapen® cannot be used on active acne or rosacea.

Standard treatment times are one hour, and performed every 4-6 weeks at our clinic in Auckland, NZ.

Sessions cost $375 each or $1,000 for a course of three sessions. Book your treatment by calling 0800 4 PALM CLINIC or 09 522 8128.
