Improve broken face veins and rosacea by 70 to 80%

Fine, red lines on the face are one of the many skin changes we may begin to notice with age. Although tiny, these broken blood vessels or capillaries are visible beneath the skin’s surface and their prominence can often be distressing for those who suffer from them.

Facial veins and associated conditions such as facial flushing, redness on the neck and rosacea are common conditions in both men and women. These occur for a range of different reasons. It could simply be a part of the aging process, or a trait you have inherited from your parents. But anything that puts pressure on the delicate veins and capillaries in the face can result in visible facial veins.

Although anyone can develop a condition related to facial veins, there are certain risk factors and lifestyle choices that can contribute. These include:

  • Sun exposure
  • Inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema
  • Alcohol consumption
  • Wind damage
  • Shifting between temperature extremes

While not painful, facial veins and associated conditions such as rosacea can greatly affect the appearance of our skin. Fortunately, with modern laser technology at Palm Clinic, we are typically able to minimise the appearance of facial veins by around 70-80%.

Whether they appear in tiny threads across your cheek, or cause your face to flush red, you don’t have to put up with facial veins as the treatment is quick and results are immediate.

How do Palm Clinic treat facial vein conditions?

At Palm Clinic, we understand that everyone is unique, therefore we tailor each treatment depending on your needs and concerns. There are multiple laser options for each condition and the amount of treatments vary from person to person. We will discuss the option specifically suited to you, as well as the number of treatments at your consultation with us.

Facial Veins

Spider veins on the face commonly occur on the nose or cheeks of fair-skinned people.

Often appearing as long, individual veins, these large red or purple threads on the face are best treated by laser or IPL. Elos Aurora, Coolglide Excel vascular laser or Photoderm IPL are among the range of lasers available at Palm Clinic that offer outstanding results for the removal of facial spider veins.

Facial flushing

The appearance of red flushing on the face, neck and chest area is caused by clusters of very small spider veins. Flushing is usually heightened following exercise, embarrassment, or after the consumption of coffee, tea or alcohol.

At Palm Clinic, we use Photoder IPL or Elos Aurora to achieve fantastic results in minimising and eliminating the appearance of facial flushing. For more severe cases, facial flushing can be treated by Endoscopic Cervical Sympathectomy. This is a surgical procedure which can be performed on referral from the team at Palm Clinic.

Rosacea

Rosacea is a more severe condition associated with facial veins. Consisting of prominent redness, visible veins and sometimes pustules, rosacea appears on the central part of the face; usually the nose, cheeks, chin and forehead. Rosacea is also responsible for a very noticeable flushing reaction when triggered by factors such as:

  • Perfume
  • Creams
  • Sun exposure
  • Exercise
  • Embarrassment

Topical gels and long-term antibiotics may address the pustules, but they do very little to reduce the flushing reaction and chronic redness.

At Palm Clinic, we treat rosacea with a course of Photoderm IPL, Elos Auroroa and Coolglide Excel vascular laser. We have treated all levels of rosacea and trust that these lasers provide the best results. Rosacea can be one of the more stubborn skin conditions, but with the use of lasers, you may only require maintenance treatments every couple of years.
