Shiereen is responsible for the ultrasound mapping of veins by Duplex ultrasound as part of the assessment of varicose and spider veins. Mapping is critical to obtaining the best results during treatment with either Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy (UGS) or Radio frequency Ablation (RFA).
In addition she’s involved with assisting the phlebologist (vein doctor) during UGS and RFA. She also performs deep vein assessments for the diagnosis and management of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and varicose ulcers. She is also a general sonographer with experience in all other areas of ultrasound.
