Appearance medicine team share thoughts on anti-ageing

Our team at Palm Clinic epitomise the concept of living our trade. We are regular attendees on the Appearance Medicine conference circuit and we are equally active in the field of training and development.

This year members of our team attended all three of these conferences:

  • Australasian Medical Aesthetics Conference in Sydney
  • New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine conference in Queenstown
  • The Australasian Society for Aesthetic and Plastic surgery Non-Surgical Symposium in Melbourne

The team also attended the Allergan Academy in Kuala Lumpur and the Australasian College of Phlebology conference in Brisbane.

Our well trained, well-travelled and very skilled team share thoughts on why facial rejuvenation treatments at the Palm Clinic are so popular.

There are many contributing factors to the growing popularity of Palm Clinic’s facial rejuvenation treatments:  the results, the skilled team and a loyal existing client base.

If we look at it from a purely demand side, as individuals we are always looking to maintain our appearance, whether by correcting the effects of ageing or enhancing the features we currently have. As an example: full lips have always been in vogue; flawless skin is timeless and wrinkle-free skin epitomises youth.

At Palm Clinic, meeting this growing demand for facial rejuvenation treatments has seen the team who are assigned to this area grow and develop.

What can you expect from your first visit?

Facial assessment is key and our team are trained to advise clients on what treatments are best suited for each individual face. Facial treatments among clients do vary because no single situation or combination of issues are ever the same.

“For one person it might be addressing red veins and brown pigment, for another a little dermal filler to project the chin to create a balanced profile.  The best treatment option is different for everyone. What you choose to do is as important as how well you do it.”

Dr Sam Dunn

There are a number of facial treatments, alone or in combination, that can dramatically or subtly rejuvenate your face, no matter what concerns you may have. Treatment options include:

  • Botox® Cosmetic
  • Dermal Fillers
  • Laser Cosmetic Treatments
  • Liposculpture
  • Volumising
  • Dermal Rolling
  • Cosmeceutical skin products

Natural results – always the best way to go

Because individual issues vary, treatment plans will also vary and are designed to meet either simple or extensive results. To allow for this, treatment plans can be delivered gradually, have a goal date in mind or be designed to suit the client’s needs.

At Palm Clinic, however, our favoured approach is a gradual or conservative one. In most cases this will give a more natural and more subtle result.

It is this subtle result that the team at Palm Clinic are known for and this contributes to our loyal client base.

We all want results, but we also want a complimentary result. Our dedication to our clients’ results is rewarded with loyalty.

We are greater than the sum of our parts

When we critique our faces we look at it in parts – we look at our eyes, our lips, and our nose. However, when we look and engage with one another on a human level, we look at our face as a whole. So when seeking results it is important to look at the face as a whole and not as individual or unrelated parts.

Treatment methods also fall into this holistic approach. Botox® Cosmetic can be used alone to target areas like Frown Lines and Crows Feet but more commonly, and in-line with Palm Clinic’s approach, cosmetic physicians use Botox® in combination with Dermal Fillers to deliver that all important, understated result. With years of experience in Botox® and Dermal Fillers you can feel confident in both our skills and aesthetic eye – all trained to give you the best results.

Skill, safety and up-skilling go hand in hand

Part of what drives our success and ongoing popularity is our approach to safety. With a highly skilled team that is actively engaged in ongoing learning and training, safety is always uppermost in our minds.

Safety as a concept is applied in the treatment options chosen for our clients, as well as the technique used to apply it. As regular attendees at conferences, whether to present, train or attend, we are informed and active in using the safest methods in Cosmetic Medicine today.

Laser treatments are a big part of the facial rejuvenation tool-kit, used to treat pigmentation, hair growth, spider veins and much more.

“We believe that safety should come first with cosmetic treatments. I will only treat to reduce brown sun-spots when medical assessment has established they pose no risk to the patient.”

Palm Clinic are the experts in producing the result you want and equally in delivering the results we feel are achievable for you, as discussed in consultation. We aim for a “refreshed” and “rejuvenated” look rather than any results screaming “medical procedure”.

This approach comes from our experience and knowledge of what works best and also our desire to have a long term, meaningful relationship with our clients – our expertise and skill in exchange for your ongoing trust.

What we want (and what you tell us you want), is for you to look your best, at any age and as you age, without looking treated.
